We have felt very comforted by your encouraging words and responses to requests for prayer. We are 6,000 miles from home during the most trying time of our lives, but have been adopted ourselves by some of the most beautiful people in the world… the people of Georgia.

We felt it necessary to share more detail regarding Evan’s condition. Sorry we have waited until now but we wanted things to be more positive and did not want to cause unneccessary concern.

He is in critical condition in the ICU at the best children’s hospital in Tbilis Georgia, in the care of a great team of doctors. His condition, which began prior to our picking him up on Tuesday has degraded and the doctors are now fighting two different illnesses, an unknown infection which they suspect is viral and not bacterial, and metabolic acidosis. The latter is improving due to the care he is receiving, however the infection is still causing a high temperature.

Of course there have been some extraordinary lows , but tonight our spirits are relatively high and we are hoping for better results tomorrow.

  1. As you know our God is a God of restoration & healing & so that is exactly what we are praying for, along w/ rest, peace, & the grace that surpasses all understanding. Knowing that this in part could be caused simply by stress of the change in his surroundings & life nothing is bigger than our God. He was not surprised by this & we are standing strong for you when you are weak. We love you so very much, give each other hugs from the Lees!!!!! In Jesus’ Name Evan IS healed right now according to the word of God AMEN!

  2. I’m sorry for the troubles and concerns you all are going through, and at the same time I’m comforted in the faith and trust you have been granted:

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in You!
    (Psa 84:11-12)

There will be a continuation of prayers and thanks giving from here.

His Will, will be done for His Glory.
